Hey, my question might sound dumb, but how do I send a Digital Output from the Controllino to another device? I have an UR 3 and want to get a Signal from the Controllino. I’ve connected it the way it is described in the Manual (User Manual, UR3.pdf (usna.edu) ; page 27 – 4.3.5 Communication with other machines or PLCs) but it won’t work. I can get a Signal from the UR to the Controllino but not from the Controllino to the UR. Do I have to change something?

Hello,
the problem is that the CONTROLLINO digital outputs are only high-side switches. So they internally connects 12/24 V (when logical HIGH), but not the ground (when logical LOW). You need to add external pull down resistor between the communication line and the 0V. Recommended value of the resistor is 10 kOhm.
