Hello, no I have not resolved the issue.

The Arduino is working in our validated (“frozen”) production machine. If a change in the Arduino (plc-) program needs to be done, it will probably be done using another PC. If the Arduino environment / toolchain has changed version then a revalidation needs to be done, which I would like to avoid.

Ideally the whole Arduino environment should therefore be on an “installation-CD” status 2019, but this seems not possible.

Thanks – I will look into your idea about using a virtual machine for backup.
