ModBus with RS-485

I would like to perform some test run over Modbus, just know how does it work.

I want use a Methane gas sensor as slave.

can somebody guided me for this.

Hello Ashish,

there are already some threads about Modbus here in the forum. Check them, maybe it will help you to let it run.

I always recommend buying a USB-RS485 converter and at first try to set up a PC as a Modbus Master and communicate with the sensor.

I am using Max285 to interact with my sensor and Controllino Maxi.
