Minimum 12 V Power Supply for Screw Treminals
-
Hallo, I got hands on a used Controllino Maxi. I am not sure if it is working.
Only the pins on top seem to be powered.
I cannot measure current with a multimeter on the screw terminals when switched to high.
How many amperes does the 12 volt transformer have to deliver to supply the screw terminals D0 … D11 ?
Thanks.

Hello, Do you have a load at outputs or are you connecting only the multimetr switched for current measurement ?
Each output D0..D11 has overcurrent protection and can deliver maximum of 2 A. You have to have proper load connected to there. And based on the load you have to select the proper 12 V power supply for CONTROLLINO. If you have some of the loads for example 5 A, than approx. 5,5 A power supply shall be selected.

Hallo, i have only the multimeter switched to voltage measurement connected to the digital output and gnd.
So a power supply with 12V and 1A should be sufficient? But 0V is being displayed.
Thanks

Hello, yes, power supply 12V/1A shall be fine for this type of tests.
Do you have corresponding LED (D0-D11) on the TOP ON when you activate the output in your software?

OK, thanks. Just got a new controllino. Now all works fine and as expected.
The LEDs indicate if outputs are high/low and the voltmeter measures 12V/0V.
I Send back the used one. I think it is broken.
Thank you for your help.
