Controlling Stepper Direction Pin, Output Pin High/Low

Hello all,

I am currently working on a project with a 24 V stepper motor and a stepper driver DM556T and keep running into the same problem…. Partly the stepper does not want to change its direction and keeps on turning in the same direction.

I use the ACCELSTEPPER library. (if this is relevant) The used Controllino is an MAXI.

It is not the stepper motor and the driver. If I only let the stepper rotate in one direction, it works without problems, even if I let the motor run in the other direction in the following program upload.

When I run the program, the stepper motor also runs fine at first, until it comes to the direction change. The output pin for direction lights up nicely, but the motor does not change direction.

I came across the problem from this colleague who seems to have(te) exactly the same problem as me.

Is there a work around for this?

I would like to continue to use 24V because I still have to control some 24V valves.

ich bin gerade an einem Projekt mit einem 24 V Stepper Motor und einem Stepper Driver DM556T und laufe immer wieder in das selbe problem… Teilweise möchte der Stepper nicht seine Richtung wechseln und dreht munter weiter in die gleiche Richtung.

Ich verwende die ACCELSTEPPER Libary. (falls das relevant ist) Ich verwende einen Controllino MAXI

An dem Stepper Motor und an dem Driver liegt es nicht. Wenn ich immer nur eine Richtung den Stepper drehen lassen funktioniert das Problemlos, auch wenn ich im nachfolgenden Progamm upload dann quasi den motor in die andere Richtung laufen lasse wechselt er brav die Richtung.

Wenn ich das Programm laufen lassen läuft der Stepper motor auch zuerst einwandfrei, bis es zum Richtungswechsel kommt. Der Output Pin für Direction leuchtet dann auch schön, jedoch wechselt der Motor nicht die Richtung.

Ich bin auf das Problem von diesem Kollegen gestoßen der anscheinend genau das gleiche Problem vorliegen hat(te) wie ich.

Gibt es hierfür ein Work Around ?

Ich würde gerne weiterhin 24V verwenden da ich einige 24V Ventile noch ansteuern werden muss.
