I am confused on the Maxi Automation. Currently I am able to trigger the pin headers with the 5v however when I try to use the screw terminals I am not able to get it to trigger with 12v.

Currently I have all of my pin headers setup a Low and when they are high perform the action.

Am I missing something because the documentation states.

Each of the digital inputs labelled “A0” to “A..” can also be used as a digital input to measure a
switching status. If a logic “1” is measured the corresponding LED “A..” will be active. At a logic
“0” the corresponding LED “A..” will be off. This optical information can be used to get a quick
overview about the status of the inputs. This can be very helpful when carrying out error diagnostics at a programming stage.
The logic levels depending on the supply voltages are:
    Logic Supply Voltage Level
    0 on12V 0 to 3,6V …Level 1 on 12V 9 to 13,2V level 0 on 24V 0 to 7,2V level 1 on 24V 18 to 26,4V

I am powering the Controllino with 12v and the Pins, and Relays work my encoder and screen work as expected. How I can get the screw Terminals for inputs to see the input voltage of 12v to trigger the LED.

Also I am trying to us IN0 and IN1 for my encoder A and B however only my Pins work. Is that because it requires 24v over the lines to trigger on IN0 and IN1?

So I tried this with 24v and it seems to work. However I wish this would be more clear in the documentation since it states it will run off of 12 or 24.

Its kind of a pain I need 24v since my application is only 12v, which means I need to get a converter to step up from 12 to 24 only to trigger my screw terminals.

      Hello,

I’m sorry for confusing, but MAXI AUTOMATION works only with 24V. Other types of CONTROLLINOs are working with 12/24V.

It is stated on the printing, also in the pinout diagram.

    @Jarda

Documentation also is very odd. It doesnt state that IN0 and IN1 need 24v.

I was hoping to use all screw terminals however my encoder only runs on 5v and IN0 and IN1 do not support 5v.

Can you please update documentation so others dont have the same issues.

I would recommend you state how the screw terminals are expected to be used since I was struggling for a little bit.

      Hello,

thank you for feedback, we will do our best to improve it. For 5V encoder interface you can use pins at the pinheader.
